Panthers’ Bryce Young Says ‘All Glory Goes to God’: ‘Without Him, I'm Nothing’

The quarterback for one of the NFL’s surprising teams says faith in God is what carries him.
Carolina’s Bryce Young completed 31 of 45 passes for a career-high 448 yards and three touchdowns Sunday, helping the Panthers beat Atlanta 30-27 in a back-and-forth overtime game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
The Panthers are now 6-5 and only half a game behind Tampa Bay (6-4) after stumbling to a 5-12 record in 2024.
Young engineered a 54-yard drive in the extra period to set up the game-winning kick.

“First and foremost, all glory goes to God. Without Him, I'm nothing,” Young told Fox Sports after the game. “He's the reason for everything. All glory goes to Him.”
The Panthers have won six out of the last nine games after starting the season 0-2. On Sunday, they trailed 21-10 at halftime and 21-19 entering the fourth quarter. Atlanta carried momentum into overtime thanks to a late game-tying kick, but the Panthers once again dug deep.

“I just rally around my teammates,” he told Fox Sports about the team’s resilience. “I'm super grateful to be a Panther, to be part of this team. We're so resilient. We keep fighting. We always believe. We're always going to the next play. So just leaning on them is what got the job done.”
A college standout at the University of Alabama, Young often references his faith during interviews. After winning the Heisman Trophy in 2021, Young told an ESPN audience, “I'd like to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” After being selected as the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Young told the NFL Network, “I'm super grateful for the blessings from God for allowing me to be here.”
His social media bio reads: “Follower of Christ.”
During a post-game news conference Sunday, Young told the media: “God is good.”
The Panthers are in contention for their first playoff spot since 2017, but Young said he and his teammates are staying focused on the present.
“We can't look too far ahead. We have to focus on next week. Right now, [the win is] great [but] tomorrow, we'll turn the page and focus on next week,” Young said. “We're great at doing that. I love this team. I'm ready to get back to work.”
