Writing to you from jolly old London, wishing you the merriest of Christmases.
Tonight we’ll mark our final “Christmas party” of the season in grand fashion—5,000 voices lifted together at Royal Albert Hall. And then, more intimately, we’ll gather in a smaller setting to wish my dear friend Keith Getty the happiest possible 51st birthday. The location, the experience, and the adventures surrounding it all deserve their own telling—and I promise, more details next week.
Back home, one of our most cherished family traditions unfolded once again: a day on Fifth Avenue in New York City. Once a year the city closes it down, handing arguably the most famous avenue in the world over to pedestrians—and not a single square inch lacks Christmas cheer. Annual photos in front of the Rockefeller tree. Lingering over the stories told through the great department store windows. Light shows cascading across buildings known by single, iconic names—Cartier. Saks. And this year, a new secret brunch favorite joined the tradition: L’Avenue. The editor of C’est Si Bon reviews it this week—both in her publication and in mine. Don’t miss it.
Doubled black belt tests and a seventh-grade band concert rounded out the final student milestones of the year before the holiday break—a proud close to a very full season.
And last week we gathered the team—the Salem brass, my angel of a producer Lady T, Ivan and Owen who have edited TV into the wee hours for longer than our children have been alive, and Joyce, Stacey, and Laura, the women who keep the wheels turning and the lights on. Not everyone could make it, but we came together to celebrate, to reflect on the remarkable things God did in 2025, and to get fired up about what He’s already doing in 2026. That KEVIN Show has never reached farther. That Passport Life, The Video Insider, and C’est Si Bon have never had more readers. And our weekend TV “baby” has never shone brighter. More on all of that next time—but the bottom line is this: we continue to give thanks.
Speaking of gratitude—what you’ve done this year continues to humble me. So far, you have helped liberate 167 women from slavery through Christian Solidarity International. The original list held 343 names, which means there are still more than a hundred waiting. These Christian women—denied their faith, their autonomy, their very voice—would receive no greater Christmas gift than freedom itself. Freedom from abuse, rape, unpaid labor, and daily degradation. A gift of $250 sets one woman free, restores her dignity, and provides a starter kit to begin life again. And if you liberate one or more slaves between now and Christmas Day, the McCullough family will match your gift. Click here to free a human being today.
Lastly, my thanks to Phil Boyce and Marcus Brown for welcoming us into the incredible lineup at the Salem Podcast Network. Every day of That KEVIN Show—now without all the radio ads—plus my niche hours from Radio Night LIVE, including Travel Tuesday and Fun Friday, are all in one place. SalemPodcastNetwork.com truly has it all.
And as this is my final note to you before the day we celebrate our Savior’s birth, I leave you with a couple of gifts for you and your children—both inspired by Sally Lloyd-Jones’ beautiful Christmas book, The Song of the Stars.
Merry Christmas,
—That KEVIN
